SPA 103 Spanish in a Global Society I & II (4 Credits)
SPA 103 El Español en una Sociedad Global (4 Credits) - Course syllabus in Spanish
In this course the student will begin and develop their learning of Spanish as second language.

Through an active and playful methodology the student will begin to interact and communicate in Spanish. The student will realize the advantages of living in Seville to interact and learn specific vocabulary in an easy and efficient way.

Prerequisite: No prior knowledge of Spanish required.

SPA 201 Spanish Language and Cultures in Action I (4 Credits)
SPA 201 Lengua y Culturas Españolas en Acción I (4 Créditos)

The basis of this course is to provide the students with the necessary strategies to develop their Spanish, at a medium level, in the five key skill areas of listening, reading, interacting, speaking and writing.

Specific aspects of Spanish Society and Culture will be comprehended in situ through the programmed visits.

Prerequisite: 3 years of high-school Spanish or 2 semesters of college-level Spanish.

SPA 202 Spanish Language and Cultures in Action II (4 Credits)
SPA 202 Lengua y Culturas Españolas en Acción II (4 Créditos)– Course syllabus in Spanish
Throughout the course students will acquire a communication competence in line with their level of Spanish, orally as well as in writing in order to:

- Participate in conversations about family members, work, trips.
- Write a message and short texts expressing experiences, telling stories, summarizing a book or a movie.
- Understanding texts that contain basic information such as adverts, menus, timetables.

Prerequisite: 4 years of high-school Spanish or 3 semesters of college-level Spanish.


SPA 221 Spanish for Healthcare Professional (3 Credits)
SPA 221 Introducción al Español para Profesionales de la Salud (3 Créditos) – Course Syllabus in Spanish 
The student will improve their oral and written skills for effective communication in Spanish in the health field. The student will gain more confidence in interactions with patients. Student participation and reflection on sociocultural and intercultural aspects is important.

Prerequisite: 3 semesters of college-level Spanish.

SPA 371 Business Spanish (3 Credits)
SPA 371 Español de Negocios (3 Créditos) – Course Syllabus in Spanish 
The main objective of the course is for the student to acquire lexical and functional knowledge related to the business world to function in the Hispanic business world. To do this, emphasis will be placed on the specific terms used in different areas and on cultural elements.

Prerequisite: 4 semesters of college-level Spanish.
