Orientation

There will be an pre-orientation meeting the day after you arrive in Seville (Generally sometime in the morning) and it’s held at the school. You will have the chance to meet all of the staff who will be giving you information about housing, academic policies at the institute, trips & social – educational activities, Spanish culture and customs, and answering any questions you might have.

You will get an introduction to the optional field trips, excursions, and activities. At this session as well, you will also be able to sign up for various activities for the first week and the weekend trip.

In addition, a lot of informal socializing with staff and fellow students will be going on.

Friday, September 2 there will be an orientation meeting where the SAIIE Director will address you.

Please note:

Do not miss the pre - orientation nor the orientation sessions scheduled for you. Be particularly alert to the very strict academic policies—especially in regard to absences and assignments—that have been established. Going to school in Seville is very different from going to school in Platteville or LaCrosse or Madison, and our rules and regulations reflect the fundamental differences.
