Surprise visits this week to SAIIE from our friend Lucy Ford! Lucy former 2014/15 SAIIE Intern, with her former boss, Sean Chipres in the picture.
Our directors, Samantha and Stuart Chipres, at UW-Platteville Campus this week with SAIIE Alumni (Summer 2023) Veronica Hauser, who is majoring in a double major in Psychology and Spanish, and Camryn Bloomfield, who is majoring in Civil Engineering.
Took our students for a day trip to the beautiful city of Córdoba, one hour away from Seville. Here our students visited the "Mezquita de Córdoba" (Mosque). The Mosque, itself, was built in 784. At the present time its use as a Christian Cathedral. They also walk around the typical "patios cordobeses" where they got to see the beautiful flowers, as well as, tried the typical Cordobés Spanish dish "Salmorejo".

We offer an annual program every May with Viterbo university for their nutrition and dietetics students.
Previous programs have included; cultural visits including a trip to Barrio de Santa Cruz and Granada, sightseeing, flamenco shows, tapas, a combined project with Spanish culinary students and a nutrition project working with Spanish athletes at Club Náutico Sevilla.
Students also have the opportunity to design a healthy menu with the help of Spanish students from a local culinary school in Seville, for students at a local Spanish school in an underprivileged neighbourhood, Lora Tamayo, and present it to the students.
