PROGRAM STRUCTURE & REQUIREMENTS

Students in this program take the following 3 credit course (Offered in English and Spanish):

ART 301 World Art

Students in this course will be able to appreciate the cultural and architectural impact that various cultures have imposed on Seville over the centuries and the region of Andalusia.

One way to discover the culture of Andalusia is by exploring the sites which have been awarded the UNESCO World Heritage designation and will be visited and studied during this course. The course is designed for students that, in a short space of time, want to get to know Andalucia´s diverse culture through the monuments of its three main cities: Seville, Córdoba and Granada.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A student must have at least sophomore standing at the time of participation.

  • A student must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 grading scale.

  • A student must be in good academic standing at the time of participation.

  • No prior knowledge of Spanish is required. For the ART 3700 Artistic Monuments of Sevilla, Córdoba and Granada course taught in Spanish 5 semester college - level Spanish is required.

Winterim 2025 Program Cost*

  • $4,025 for Wisconsin Residents, Minnesota Residents, and Students from Co-Op Institutions
  • $4,145 for UW-Platteville Tri-State Initiative Students
  • $4,325 for Non-Residents

Winterm 2025 Program Cost Includes:

  • UW-Platteville Education Abroad program fees and support services before, during, and after the program
  • SAIIE full-time tuition and fees
  • Airport reception and on-site orientation
  • 24/7 on-site support throughout the term
  • Accommodation with most meals and one load of laundry per week
  • Mandatory CISI health and medical evacuation insurance
  • Program excursions (Granada & Córdoba day trips)
  • Bus tour around the city
  • Welcome and Farewell meals

Winterim 2025 Out-of-Pocket Costs Includes:

  • U.S. Passport ($135)
  • Airfare (estimated at $1,200)
  • Meals not includes with accommodation (estimated at $150)
  • Mandatory International Student Identification Card (ISIC) ($25)
  • Local transportation (estimated at $50)
  • Optional social/cultural weekly activities (estimated at $300)
  • School supplies and books (estimated at $25)
  • Additional travel and personal expenses (will vary based on students' spending habits, travel plans before or after the program, etc.)

ACADEMIC CREDIT, GRADING, AND TRANSCRIPT

When you are accepted into the SAIIE program you should inform your academic advisor and study abroad office at your home campus about your intent to go abroad on our program to make sure you will receive all the credits that you take through the SAIIE program.
