MGT 360 International Management (3 Credits) / Taught In English
Through this course, students will be introduced to the opportunities and challenges corporations face when doing business internationally and identify strategies and practices to manage effectively in a global environment. In particular, students will be exposed to, and encouraged to critically think about, international management topics such as the global business environment, ethics and corporate social responsibility, culture, international strategy and entry, organizational behavior across cultures, and international human resource management issues. In the end, students develop an understanding of, and appreciation for, culture and its impact on management and strategies for managing in a complex, global environment.

MGT/MKT 301 Business Communication (3 Credits) / Taught in English
This course explores different genres of written and oral communication employed in the business environment. Emphasis is placed on utilizing communication strategies that are tailored to both the audience and the organizational context in which the communication takes place. The ethical implications of communication within a business environment are also considered. This course develops a process approach to writing, which moves from planning through revision and final editing in producing business-related documents. Students are also introduced to communication techniques that enhance productivity within groups as well as develop the ability to write as a team and create presentations that flow seamlessly.

SPA 354 Artistic Expression and Society in the Spanish-Speaking World (3 Credits) 
SPA 354 Expresión Artística y Sociedad en el Mundo de Habla Española (3 Créditos)– Course Syllabus in Spanish 
The main objective of this course is to introduce students to the historical, economical, artistic, social and religious aspects of Seville through its important and numerous monuments. The city itself will be the main guideline of this course. In each class meeting, students will study various artistic-architectural points of interest. Students will also be able to appreciate the cultural impact that many other cultures have left behind on the city throughout its history. Students will have to pay $50 approximately to cover entry fees during the visits.

Prerequisites: 5 semesters of college-level Spanish

SPA 371 Business Spanish (3 Credits) 
SPA 371 Español de Negocios (3 Créditos) – Course Syllabus in Spanish 
The main objective of the course is for the student to acquire lexical and functional knowledge related to the business world to function in the Hispanic business world. To do this, emphasis will be placed on the specific terms used in different areas and on cultural elements.

Prerequisite: 3 semesters of college-level Spanish.

 

ART 301 - World Art (3 Credits)
This course is designed to improve the student´s knowledge of the historical, artistics, social and religious aspects of Seville, Córdoba and Granada. The city itself is used as the main classroom or textbook for this course, been that the students will visit different places everyday that have made these cities so important in Spanish history and in Art. The students will also be able to appreciate the cultural and architectural impact of diverse cultures that have been imposed in Andalucía for centuries.

This course can be taken in English or Spanish.

If this course is taken in Spanish it will be equivalent to the SPA 354 Artistic Expression and Society in the Spanish-Speaking World (3 Credits) course.
