PSYCHOLOGY

PSY-01 Social Psychology / UWL course equivalency to PSY 241 Social Psychology (3 Credits)
This course explores human behavior in social contexts, examining how interactions, relationships, and social environments shape thoughts, feelings, and actions. Students gain a scientific understanding of social processes and the historical development of the discipline, building critical insight into human behavior and adaptation.

PSY-02Mastering Group Dynamics / UWL course equivalency to PSY 343 Social Psychology (3 Credits) 
Learn how groups function and succeed! This interactive course builds skills in communication, collaboration, negotiation, and conflict management through hands-on exercises, role-playing, and group simulations. Students gain practical tools to lead, participate, and problem-solve effectively in any group setting. 

PSY-03 Qualitative Methodologies  / UWL course equivalency to PSY 000U Social Psychology (3 Credits)
This course introduces students to the logic and practice of qualitative research for exploring complex social phenomena. Through practical examples, case studies, and discussions, students learn to design studies, collect and analyze data, and produce meaningful insights into people’s perspectives and experiences.

PSY-04 Neuroscience Applied to Human Health / UWL course equivalency to PSY 430 Cognitive Neuroscience (3 Credits)
This course explores the foundations of neuroscience and the central nervous system to understand cognitive, emotional, and behavioral processes. Students learn how neural mechanisms, lifestyle, and environmental factors influence brain health, resilience, and cognitive reserve, with practical applications for well-being, prevention, and psychological intervention.

PSY-05 Social Psychology and Gender in the Media / UWL course equivalency to PSY 441 Advanced Social Psychology (3 Credits)
This course examines how gender and diversity are represented in contemporary media through the lenses of Social Psychology and Intersectionality. Students learn to critically analyze media narratives, understand the psychosocial processes shaping identity and prejudice, and explore strategies for inclusive and socially responsible storytelling.
