Welcome to the Spanish-American Institute of International Education (SAIIE)
The Spanish-American Institute of International Education (SAIIE) was founded in 1984 in Seville, Spain and has been hosting the study abroad program for UW-Platteville since then. Over these years we have had students come from universities from all over the U.S. See our list of participating universities
SAIIE Has:
- More than 25 years of experience in International Education.
- Qualified and experienced staff
- 24 Hrs. Emergency on call available
- Centrally located and air-conditioned classroom building
- Classes equipped with multimedia materials for presentations (LCD projectors, laptops, etc.)
- Computer labs with free access to the internet
SAIIE Provides:
- Spanish language courses on all levels (Beginning to Advanced)
- Liberal arts courses in English and in Spanish
- Spanish tutoring and Spanish conversation classes offered everyday
- Intercambio (conversation) partnerships with native speakers of Spanish
- An extensive program of field trips and cultural visits
- Social and sports activities
- Volunteer opportunities
- Internship opportunities
- Accommodation in Spanish homes (including meals from Sunday dinner through Friday lunch + 2 loads of laundry per week)
No prior knowledge of Spanish required
