A Letter from the Director of SAIIE

The 21st Century has seen great and daunting changes. The internet has revolutionised present society, we are all one click away from each other, barriers are coming down everyday. Your career in your chosen field should be focused on economic globalization, political regionalization, increasing social advances and interactions, and growing ecological awareness. What that means is that; today more than ever small fluctuations in other countries can affect millions of people around the world, and you.

My world is a world placed between different countries, nationalities, and cultures. Seville my home is a powerful, strong, spellbinding and exquisite mixture tradition and modernity: Seville has it´s roots in the ancient cultures, all the major religions, and has evolved through history. Today Seville is Spain´s fourth largest city and regional Andalusian capital.

As the Director of an International study abroad Program, I believe that students nowadays should address the following question:

¨Where do I fit in, in this ever changing world?¨

Developing and investing in yourself, you will be creating a niche for yourself in which to carry out your profesional career. Your greatest tool is yourself, therefore you must spend time and energy in reaching your full potential in life. Deciding which international program to enroll on is very important, since it can carry with it potentially enormous implications for you, and your future career.

Notes
  • At the completion of the semester the student will receive a letter of recommendation signed and stamped by Club Antares acknowledging the student's work.

  • At the moment, academic credit is not available through SAIIE nor the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, however we hope to have a credit-bearing experience available in the near future.

  • Throughout the duration of the term the student will have access to the clubs facilities, including the sports facilities.

  • Student will be required to fill out an evaluation in the middle of the semester and at the end of their work experience at Club Antares.

  • If a student were to decide they wanted to take part of this exciting volunteering program we do ask students who do so, not to take this opportunity lightly, whereas it is a voluntary activity; Club Antares is a well renowned institution in Seville and the region of Andalucía.
